  1. first, let me say i enjoy your blog - has been helpful on a couple of occasions and is an enjoyable read.

i personally have a 2007 gear up and i am a bit astonished at your gas mileage. i drive pretty conservatively (hardly ever push the 60 mph mark), never lug the engine, run my tires at 32-32-40, and have a sidecar windshield. but i consistently only get 20-22 mpg… i can’t figure out how to get better mileage. any advice?

  2. Thanks Matthew, glad the blog’s been helpful!

How many kms are on your Gear-up? I’m not sure either why your mileage would be 20-22 mpg.
