New Ural 2-Wheel Drive Shifter Available from Raceway Services
Filed Under (Ural Parts and Accessories) by Anthony StClair on 31-03-2008
Up in Salem, Oregon, Raceway Services not only sells and services Ural sidecar motorcycles. It also comes up with some pretty sweet hand shifters, including a new hand shifter that will shift between single-wheel drive and two-wheel drive on 2WD Patrol and Gear-Up models. Learn more by contacting Raceway, and also be sure to check out this discussion on Soviet Steeds:
“Most of you are already aware of a fine product made by Jim at “Raceway” his tank shifter that will shift the forward gears and reverse. I have been bugging Jim for over two years to make a shifter that will shift the two wheel drive instead of the forward gears. My wishes have been answered. “

Just wanted to say HI… I just got my Ural Gear-Up from Jim and the team in Salem at Raceway Services. What a GREAT place. Jim blows my mind, he is so dammm smart and full of info.
“be true”
Congrats Dena! Hope you’re having a great time. Where are you based?
Jim was a great guy to work with. I’m planning on bringing my Patrol up to Raceway this week for its first service - partially, too, so I can pick his brain some more as I settle more and more into Ural ownership.
Did you get an Arctic Gear-Up?
We live in Hillsboro and we got the Desert Camo. Last one on the floor. Jim was waiting for the Arctic to come in and said they were takin. Jerri says she wants to paint it some day but I love it just the way it is.
Do you have or are you going to get the shifter? My bike has it and I can’t wait to use it.
I didn’t get any of the hand shifters. We might get one someday, but it’ll probably only be if Jodie wants to learn to drive the Ural. Everyone who’s gotten one though, has really liked the hand shifters.
