Spotted in a foilhead’s sig in the IMZ Ural message boards:

You only need 2 tools, WD-40 and Duct Tape…. If it doesn’t move and it should, use the WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn’t, use the tape

Ah, the simplicity of the purest truths…

For all the wisdom in this statement though, no self-respecting Uralist would be without his third — holy trinity? — of Ural tools: the BFH, or Big Feckin’ Hammer.

    Duct tape - no question. I left home March 05 headed to Daytona temp of 29 degrees. Got to NC dropped my new full face at the first stop broke the shield clip. Had to switch to half helmet, not good. Bought a small roll of duct tape down the road. Still havr it on bike

    Ouch - I see what you mean. Defo will have a roll of duct tape in the trunk. I’ve heard a lot of the Ural guys say having some zip ties is a good ideas too.
