About Ride Three.com

Go to the Official Ural websiteRide Three.com is:

  1. A chronicle of a new Ural motorcycle loonie’s enthusiast’s journey from learning about Urals and finally ordering a 2007 Ural Patrol, to getting it, loving it, riding it (along with his fiancee Jodie and our dog Ella), fixing it, and swearing at it
  2. A free resource for Ural sidecar motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide, from long-time Ural owners to new riders considering their first Ural motorcycle

Launched in December 2007, Ride Three is a work in progress. Ride Three and Anthony St. Clair are not in any way officially affiliated with IMZ-Ural.

Who’s behind Ride Three?

Anthony on his Forest Green Ural PatrolAnthony St. Clair first learned about (and was hooked on) Ural motorcycles in 2006. He’d never owned a motorcycle and had virtually no riding experience – so he figured he ought to get a Ural. What better way to begin one’s motorcycle adventures, than to get an esoteric Russian sidecar motorcycle with a long yet slightly dubious past, whose reknown is drawn in part from having a hunk of nearly-impossible-to-maneuver dead weight hanging off one side? Perfect for a novice.

See the Ural Patrol - with 2-wheel drive! After a year of research, knuckle-biting and even a little sidecar training, he (finally) bought a 2007 Ural Patrol. He’s currently After waiting for it to get from Siberia to his home in Eugene, Oregon, Anthony received his Patrol on Feb. 16, 2008. When not riding, Anthony is learning, talking with other nutters foilheads proud Ural motorcycle owners, and doing a bit of motorcycle accessory and apparel shopping.

You can also find Anthony in pubs and coffee shops around Eugene, Oregon, on his other site, Antsaint.com, or under the handle “Antsaint” in the Hacks - ADV Rider Motorcycle Forums, Soviet Steeds and IMZ Ural Motorcycle Discussion Boards.
